Birth options consultation
At The Prenatal Company we are private midwives who have valuable knowledge and contacts for everything you could need to know on pregnancy, birth and post natal choices.

We will discuss your birth choices with you, explore what kind of birth you would like be that a natural birth, epidural birth or caesarean section. We will provide you with detailed information to help you make your birth choices and will then be able to advise you on places for the birth choice you want.

We can also help you plan other aspects of your pregnancy to compliment your birth choice such as exercise, alternative therapies, antenatal class options, relevant health care professionals and specialists to help you prepare for the birth you want.*Prices

Birth plan consultation
There is so much to decide in terms of what you would like out of your birth experience. We will help you write a birth plan according to your needs and guide you in ways in which you can achieve the birth you really want.

We offer you the chance to have one to one sessions with a midwife so you can talk through your thoughts and ideas for your birth. We can help you plan for the birth you want and help you to prepare for how you are going to achieve this.

At The Prenatal Company we offer you the option of planning for different types of birth so you can have the flexibility of more than one plan.

Once you and your midwife have decided on your plans we will prepare them for you and will be available to talk through any changes you need.*Prices

Comprehensive Private Package of antenatal care
The private antenatal package provides antenatal care at a time and place convenient to the client, normally at home in the day, evenings or at weekends.

This package also offers the opportunity for the partner to be involved in antenatal care and enables their questions to be addressed at the same time.

Individual antenatal appointments
If you would like a one off or a few private antenatal appointments at a time and place to suit you we can offer a midwife appointment either at home or at work.*Prices

Doula /Birth partner service
Our midwives offer a doula (birth partner) service. The Prenatal Company midwife/ doulas can be there to support you all the way through your labour for as long as you need.

As soon as you go into labour we will come to your home and help you and your partner through the early stages of labour at home. We will then go with you to the hospital when you are ready and stay with you until your baby is born and until you are settled with your new baby.

When you are ready to be discharged we will help you settle in at home and do everything we can to support you as new parents. We will help you with feeding, bathing and caring for your baby.

As part of this package we will meet with you antenatally to help you plan your birth and work together on your birth plans.

Your personal midwife will be on call for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from your 36th week of pregnancy until you give birth (up to 42 weeks). She will ensure she is never more than two hours away so as soon as your labour starts she can be on her way to you straight away. Your midwife will be on call exclusively for your birth for this six week period. We will never book two women in the same 6 week period to ensure there is no overlap or risk of two women labouring at the same time.

Your midwife will also be available in this period to answer any other questions you may have or to help you organise any aspect of your pregnancy and birth care you may need..

Midwife led antental class weekend away.

This class is offered as part of a two night stay weekend away in the beautiful Kent country side and includes self catering accomodation in a nearby village.*Prices

Breathing and relaxation class.

This class is offered as a one to one class in your own home or a group class. This class teaches you breathing techniques to cope with labour and birth..*Prices

Baby resucitation, childhood illness and accidents or weaning to solids classes.

These three classes cost can be offered in your home and can cater for up to 6 people in the class should you wish to do it with your friends.*Prices

Breast feeding support
Do you need more help with breastfeeding? We can offer individual consultations with a midwife who will visit you at home when you need the support at a time that fits with you and your baby. *Prices

Post natal enhanced package of care
We do not use maternity nurses but our midwives offer a similar service. You can have the support of a midwife at home 24 hours a day seven days a week to help you with everything from feeding to sleeping and the general care of your new baby.

We do not live in as such but it you need us over night we can stay with you if you need it. We like to empower women to look after their baby themselves and give them the confidence they need.
