Partner package

The early pregnancy, birth choices, birth planning and a fathers to be consultation can be offered as individual or group packages to employees who have pregnant partners.

Early pregnancy consultation
We offer a private consultation with a midwife to talk employees though early pregnancy, what can be expected and what services, blood tests and scans are available as well as advice on diet and exercise. We can also offer pregnancy risk assessments as part of this service.*Prices

Individual blood tests.
Individual blood tests can be offered to pregnant employess if required. This may be required in the case of shingles, chicken pox or measles cases within the office environment. A midwife will attend the office, advice accordingly and have the blood test couriered to our labs for quick results.

Birth options consultation
This consultation gives the opportunity to explore the birth choices available to the employee be that a natural birth, epidural birth or caesarean section. They will be provided with detailed information to help them make their birth choices and will then be advised on places for the birth according to their individual needs.

We can also help plan other aspects of achieving a healthy pregnancy to compliment the birth choice such as exercise, alternative therapies, antenatal class options, relevant health care professionals and specialists to help prepare for the birth the employee wants.*Prices

Birth plan consultation
We will help employees write a birth plan according to their needs and guide them in ways in which they can achieve the birth they really want.

We offer the chance to have one to one sessions with a midwife so the employee can talk through their thoughts and ideas for their birth. We can help plan for the birth they want and help them to prepare for how they are going to achieve this.

At The Prenatal Company we offer the option of planning for different types of birth so there is the flexibility of more than one plan.

The corporate antenatal package provides antenatal care at a time convenient to the client whilst at work.

This package also offers the opportunity for the employee to have a unique one to one high level of service whilst minimising time out of the office for the employer.

Individual antenatal appointments
One off or a multiple private antenatal appointments can be arranged at work to suit the employees' or the employers' needs. *Prices

Doula /Birth partner service
Our midwives offer a doula (birth partner) service. The Prenatal Company midwife/ doulas can be there to support women all the way through their labour for as long as they need.

As soon as the client goes into labour we will attend them at their home and help them through the early stages of labour. We will then go with the client to the hospital when they are ready and stay with them until their baby is born and until they are settled with their new baby.

When they are ready to be discharged we will help them settle in at home and do everything we can to support them as new parents. We will help them with feeding, bathing and caring for their baby.

As part of this package we will meet with the employee/ client antenatally to help them plan their birth and work together on their birth plans.

Their personal midwife will be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the 36th week of pregnancy until the birth (up to 42 weeks). She will ensure she is never more than two hours away so as soon as the abour starts she can be on her way to the client straight away. The midwife will be on call exclusively to one client, for their birth for this six week period. We will never book two women with the same midwife, in the same 6 week period to ensure there is no overlap or risk of two women labouring at the same time.

The midwife will also be available in this period to answer any other questions the client may have or to help organise any aspect of pregnancy and birth care preparation they may need..

Midwife led antenatal.
This class is offered as part of a two day birth preparation course which can be run 'in-house' or externally in a location close to the work place for convenience. This class can be made available to all expectant partners as well as pregnant employees.

Breathing and relaxation class.
This class is offered as a one to one class either at work or in a nearby location as an individual or a group class. This class teaches breathing techniques to cope with labour and birth. This class can be made available to all expectant partners as well as pregnant employees.

Baby resuscitation, childhood illness and accidents or weaning to solids classes.
These three classes cost can be offered in at work or close to work and can cater for up to 6 people in the class. This series of classes gives parents the confidence to deal with childhood illness and ailments. This empowers the parents but also means less time taken off work as they can confidently deal with minor illness and ailments. This class can be made available to all expectant partners as well as pregnant employees.

Keeping in touch days consultations.
We can offer consultations on keeping in touch days to help the employee plan their transition back to work after maternity or paternity leave.
